The aliens invaded the Earth and wanted to subjugate and enslave the humans, but the aliens defined slavery as this: 12 hours of work a week, healthy food, shelter and entertainment.
The resistance had a crisis, and they wanted to be slaves more than they wanted to against the Aliens.
